If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt-out of the "sale" of your Personal Information and ask to be removed from our database pursuant to CCPA. You may request to exercise this opt-out by email us at hello@buildyourlist.co.

As stated in our Privacy Policy, we only collect and process data about companies and business professionals. We strive not to collect any real person's personal data and thus do not process it for our business purposes.

You can use your removal and opt-out right by emailing at: hello@buildyourlist.co, providing your full name and the information you wish to delete. We may request additional information to verify you and to accept your request.

The Californian Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") is a law designed to protect the data privacy rights of citizens living in California. The Act ensures that they are given the chance to opt-out of having their information used in a way that they disapprove of.

We only collect your personal data, which was publicized by you, in the professional context and provide it to the 3rd parties solely in your interest.

We've gone through a privacy check with our legal experts and improved our data protection capacity in line with the applicable laws. We revised our privacy policies, using terms and all data processing activities.

Your Rights Under CPPA; Access to Specific Information and Data Portability Rights

As a California resident; you have the right to request the following:

  • - The categories of personal information we collected about you
  • - The categories of sources for the personal information we collected
  • - Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information
  • - The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information
  • - The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also called a data portability request).

Deletion Request Rights:

You have the right to request us to delete any of your personal data that we process, with some exceptions.

Once we receive your valid request, we will delete (and ask from our service providers and customers to delete as well) your personal information from our systems, unless an exception applies.

We may resist to delete your personal data in the following cases though;

  • 1. Complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information, provide a good or service that a consumer requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with that consumer, or otherwise perform our contract with that consumer
  • 2. Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
  • 3. Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
  • 4. Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided for by law.
  • 5. Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 seq.).
  • 6. Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the information's deletion may likely render impossible or seriously impair the research's achievement, if a consumer previously provided informed consent.
  • 7. Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on a consumer's relationship with us.
  • 8. Comply with a legal obligation.
  • 9. Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which a consumer provided it.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing of Personal Information:

According to CPPA, you have the following rights to exercise anytime you wish and therefore we pledge to comply with the following accordingly;

(a) to direct a business that sells or shares personal information about the consumer to third parties not to sell or share the consumer's personal information. This right may be referred to as the right to opt-out of sale or sharing. (b)A business that sells consumer's personal information to, or shares it with, third parties shall provide notice to consumers, pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 1798.135, that this information may be sold or shared and that consumers have the "right to opt-out" of the sale or sharing of their personal information. (c)Notwithstanding subdivision (a), a business shall not sell or share the personal information of consumers if the business has actual knowledge that the consumer is less than 16 years of age, unless the consumer, in the case of consumers at least 13 years of age and less than 16 years of age, or the consumer's parent or guardian, in the case of consumers who are less than 13 years of age, has affirmatively authorized the sale or sharing of the consumer's personal information. A business that willfully disregards the consumer's age shall be deemed to have had actual knowledge of the consumer's age. (d)A business that has received direction from a consumer not to sell or share the consumer's personal information or, in the case of a minor consumer's personal information has not received consent to sell or share the minor consumer's personal information, shall be prohibited, pursuant to paragraph (4) of subdivision (c) of Section 1798.135, from selling or sharing the consumer's personal information after its receipt of the consumer's direction, unless the consumer subsequently provides consent, for the sale or sharing of the consumer's personal information.
